Kimmie and Johnny teamed up at Sci-Fi Expo, and per usual, the convention center was filled to the brim with cosplayers, guests, exhibitors, and the average con-goer looking to snag an autograph or two!
Unfortunately the usual crowding was also present (an issue that hopefully will be corrected if and when the shows permanently moves to the Dallas Convention Center), but it was nothing practiced attendees couldn’t deal with. This year over 12,000 people flocked to the con, many of whom went just to see Jaws star, Richard Dreyfuss, Almost Human hunk, Karl Urban, or the Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.
While we were unable to speak to any of the guests one-on-one due to their contracts, we did have a chance to capture many of the fantastic cosplays.
Events we didn’t get a chance to catch on film included the Cosplay Contest, and the various Q&A’s, simply because the rooms were filled to capacity, but here are a few photos of notable happenings from around the convention.
Next up for our Texas bloggers is Dallas Comic Con in May, a convention that, as of right now, is boasting an almost complete Firefly line-up, and the eternally cool guy, Stan “The Man” Lee, among many fantastic comic artists, like Mark Bagley, and more to be announced in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, and Twitter, to find out where we’ll be, and come say hello!
