Living life in the Limelight is nothing new for GameStop, one of the only remaining, and fuctional, video game retailers in the US. GameStop has been a constant source of ire and joy for many fans of the video game industry. Whether you enjoy them for their eclectic collection of used video games, or dislike their practical abuse that very used video game concept; you probably know that when it comes to GameStop they really only look out for themselves. There have been several controversies surrounding the company and their definitions of used video games. One instance was their policy on allowing GameStop employees to check out merchandise for up to four days. Sounds great, who doesn’t want to rent a game or system for four day straight and for free! Well, not so fast. When the four days are up the item rented is simply repackaged and sold as if it was still factory sealed. Isn’t that great, knowing that you may have purchased a game in the past for full price that was not only opened, but played by another person? Well, it only gets wore from here on.
Here I am back with another entry of Daily Dose. A lot of gaming news coming from PAX Prime this past week and the upcoming Tokyo Game Show so here are a few that caught my attention today.
Are you a fan of Persona? Are you a fan of BlazBlue?
Well guess what happens when you mix the two!!
Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka
Famitsu has just revealed this a real thing being worked on by both development teams and it will be HD of course. The game will take place 2 months after the events of Persona 4 and will be a tournament of sorts. Time to watch the main characters beat the crap out of each other!
I have a few screenshots from the magazine at the bottom.
Hit the jump to hear about more Persona news, Fatal Frame, and “free” 3DS games.
EDIT – I now have MUCH better screenshots of the Persona 4 fighting game
Okay, so it’s the second day of my week long Buffy challenge and it’s been a grueling 20 hours. I have watched all of season one and all of season two and there are some goodies tucked away in there! I figure I’ll do one of these little posts, pick my fave episode out of each season, some highlights, and let you know about my general well being. I am fast forwarding the opening sequences which adds up marvelously. I have not slept at ALL last night in order to complete season 2. Let us begin the breakdown.
Back in the day, people used to make pilgrimages to sacred spots as readily as we go to McDonalds. Inspired by Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and (the more contemporary) Simon Pegg’s Paul, I have compiled a list of mini-Meccas that every good fan should visit at least once in his or her life. If any spot on the list seems a little out of your way, just remember people used to walk miles and miles with dirty feet for their gods. It seems like a little thing to spare a few frequent flyer miles for ours. (more…)
These are not in any particular order!
Monster Hunter : White Fatalis
This dragon is a combination of the lighting and dragon elements. It is intimidating in size and on top of that when it attacks it means almost certain death, so make sure to gear up properly. Good luck!

I, ladyvader99, am going to do the unthinkable.
In the wake of losing my day time job, I am going to attempt to watch all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in only one week. Depriving myself of sleep and proper nutrition, this will either be glorious or be a failure. I’m curious to see how far I’ll come to completion. Won’t you join me? I’ll try to tweet as I watch, so please, follow me on twitter (@ladyvader99) as I begin on Monday, August 29th. I will post an update on the site every two days but I warn you: I get belligerent while sleepy so I dunno how much sense I’ll make as the week goes on. Here are the stats:
7 seasons
144 episodes
I need to watch 20 episodes per day.
Wish me luck!
